The construction in Isokuusi will include wooden apartment buildings, new types of urban, wooden single- and two-family houses, and a wooden school and day care building.
The platform can be used by companies that want to build wooden apartment building blocks in the central Isokuusi area. Plots open up for applications a few times a year.

IDEA
Smart lighting:
Energy savings with optimization
The city of Tampere intends to procure a smart lighting control system, which also accounts for other factors, rather than just dimness and the time of the day, in the lighting control. The lighting system helps the city to reduce energy consumption and allow for checking whether the lights in some area are on unnecessarily.

Supports city development and growth
The city’s lighting network is part of a network of smart sensors, which also enables services to other areas of operation. The system helps the city to reduce operating expenses and facilitates maintenance. This means that the city does not need to go on location to check the condition of the lighting or public spaces.
